This handmade 108 natural stone Mala is made on The Big Island of Hawaii and is made with Lapis Lazuli for the strand. The Mala is finished with a Labradorite Guru Bead and finished with a Handmade Cotton Tassel.

During the Middle Ages Lapis Lazuli was used to make a pigment called "Ultramarine" which was used almost exclusively for Madonna's robes. At one time Lapis Lazuli was worth more than its weight in gold.

This Mala is approximately 22 inches in length from Tassel to the stones at the back of the strand. The strand beads are approximately 8mm.
All of our Mala are hand-knotted between each bead. This aids in use and reduces hair-snagging.
